This one is deeply personal—one of my first significant experiences as a catastrophe claims adjuster. I was working for an Independent Adjusting firm contracted to Allstate Insurance. The woman described in this story impacted my thinking about catastrophe adjusting and its importance and impact on people during an incredibly stressful time. She also demonstrated incredible strength and grace.
